Casandra “Cassie” Ventura recently filed a federal lawsuit against music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, alleging graphic claims of sexual assault, physical abuse, and forcing her to have sex with male sex workers while he watched. Combs has a history of violence dating back to the Nineties, including his involvement in a tragic event at City College of New York in 1991 where nine people died. He has also been accused of attacking music executive Steve Stoute in 1998 and being involved in a shooting at Club New York in 1999.
In 2013, Combs allegedly got into a scuffle with rapper J. Cole and in 2015, had an altercation with UCLA coach Sal Alosi. Combs was accused of punching Drake in 2014 over the rights to a beat. In 2019, his ex-girlfriend Gina Huynh accused him of physical abuse.
Combs has never been convicted of a serious crime but has faced numerous allegations of violent encounters. Despite his attempts to rebrand himself as “Brother Love,” his past controversies continue to surface. Combs’ attorney has vehemently denied Ventura’s claims, stating she has persistently demanded money from Combs. The two reached an undisclosed settlement in November after Ventura filed the lawsuit.
Combs has a colorful history with numerous controversies and legal battles, some of which have resulted in settlements or no charges being filed against him. The music mogul’s reputation continues to be marred by these past events, despite his efforts to rehabilitate his image.
