Chattanooga softball team secures fourth shutout of the season with a 5-0 victory over Central Arkansas at the Adam Brown Memorial Shamrock Classic. Pitcher Taylor Long dominated, pitching seven shutout innings with eight strikeouts and only one hit allowed. Baileigh Pitts and Anna Dovey contributed with RBIs, while Forsythe and Keylon had multiple hits. Chattanooga took an early lead with a throwing error in the second inning and extended it with more runs in the third. The game ended with a double play in the seventh inning. The team now improves to 10-7 overall and will face St. Francis next. The Mocs’ impressive performance also earned them top rankings in various NCAA and SoCon categories, including double plays, shutouts, fielding percentage, and individual player achievements.
