A dog was discovered inside a tightly bound trash bag at the bottom of a dumpster in Tullahoma, Tennessee, on Friday. The Tullahoma Animal Shelter (TAS) responded to reports of whining coming from inside the dumpster behind Badcock Furniture. Upon removing the trash bag, a dog was found inside that appeared lifeless due to being cold and oxygen deprived. The dog, named Oscar by rescuers, was taken to a vet clinic where he was shaved down to reveal he was an older Yorkie. Oscar’s bloodwork came back normal, and he is reported to be doing okay.
TAS is asking for the public’s help in identifying the person responsible for abandoning Oscar. They are reviewing camera footage from nearby businesses as part of their investigation into the incident.
