The Israel-Hamas war has been ongoing since October 7, 2023, with recent violence causing at least five deaths and nine injuries in a strike on a house in southern Lebanon. The attack, carried out by Israel, killed a family of four and one other person, including a pregnant mother. At least nine others who lived nearby were wounded as well. Since the beginning of the conflict, a total of 312 people, mainly Hezbollah fighters, and 56 civilians have been killed in Lebanon. The fighting has primarily been along border regions, but there are concerns of a broader conflict developing. In Israel, at least 10 soldiers and seven civilians have been killed. The initial Hamas attack on southern Israel, which sparked the war in Gaza, resulted in around 1,160 deaths, mostly civilians, while Israel’s retaliatory campaign has led to the deaths of 30,960 people in Gaza, many of whom were women and children. The violence between Israel, Hamas, and Hezbollah continues to escalate, with fears of further casualties and a wider conflict looming.
