Ukraine vows to defeat Putin following Deadly Russian attack on Odesa | Latest on Russia-Ukraine war News

Russian forces have made significant advances in eastern Ukraine, with villages such as Tonenke and Nevelske falling to the Russian advance. The Russian Ministry of Defence claimed Orlivka, while forces seemed to be taking control of Berdychi street by street. Ukrainian forces, including three brigades, are defending against multiple Russian divisions. Despite Russian tactical success, they are facing substantial losses, with Ukraine claiming to have killed or wounded 6,600 Russians in one week.

Ukrainian forces have also been attacking Russia’s oil infrastructure in retaliation, causing disruptions and driving up fuel prices. Anti-Putin Russian paramilitaries have launched incursions into Russian territory from Ukraine, prompting Putin to consider creating a “sanitary zone” on Ukrainian soil. However, Ukraine has repelled reconnaissance and sabotage groups crossing from Russia into its territory.

Putin has expressed openness to a negotiated end to the war, with his deputy outlining terms including Ukraine’s unconditional surrender and recognition of its government as Nazis. In response, Ukrainian President Zelenskyy has called for Putin’s defeat and emphasized the need for strong Western support. The conflict continues to escalate, with significant attacks on Kyiv and ongoing military movements on both sides. The situation remains volatile, with no clear resolution in sight.
