WWE star Chelsea Green found herself in a controversial situation at a New York City hotel during WrestleMania 40 week. Green was kicked out of a hotel and accused of being an escort due to her outfit. She expressed her frustration on social media, stating that one moment she was enjoying wrestling at Barclays Center and the next she was facing such accusations.
Green explained to TMZ Sports that she and a friend were at The Plaza Hotel’s Champagne Bar before being asked to leave as they were not guests of the hotel. Another patron intervened and invited them to their table, but security allegedly mistook her for an escort and asked her to leave. Despite trying to address the issue with the hotel’s management, Green claimed she was laughed off by security.
Her husband, Matt Cardona, joked about the incident, highlighting the absurdity of the situation. Green, who was a former tag-team champion, has been involved in pro wrestling with WWE but has faced setbacks due to injuries.
WrestleMania 40 is ongoing in Philadelphia, with fans eagerly anticipating the action-packed event. Green’s incident at the hotel has brought attention to the issue of unfair judgments based on appearances and the need for better handling of such situations by hospitality establishments.
