The Masters Par 3 Contest took place before the 2024 Masters Tournament, bringing together both past and future golf champions for a fun and lighthearted exhibition of nine holes. The competition featured big names like Rickie Fowler, Scottie Scheffler, Brooks Koepka, Jon Rahm, and others. Rickie Fowler emerged as the winner with a score of 5 under par. Highlights of the day included Ryo Hisatsune’s girlfriend making a tricky drive, Brooks Koepka’s baby son making a putt, Bryson DeChambeau scoring a ‘hole in one’ dunk after earlier troubles, Viktor Hovland scoring a hole in one on the fifth of the day, Tony Finau playing with his son and Rickie Fowler maintaining his lead throughout the contest.
Brooks Koepka also debuted his baby son, Crew, at the event, and reflected on the joys of fatherhood. Last year’s Masters champion, Jon Rahm, was present with his son Kepa, reflecting on the pressure of winning the Green Jacket and the opportunity to relax at the Par 3 Contest. Gary Woodland, returning from brain surgery, hit a hole in one and shared a special moment with his son, Jaxson, who also made a memorable putt. Sepp Straka also made a hole in one during the competition, adding to the excitement of the event. Overall, it was a day filled with memorable moments, family involvement, and a break from the intense pressure of the upcoming Masters Tournament.
