British food lovers in Smyrna now have two options to satisfy their cravings with the recent openings of The British Shoppe and Nessie’s British Delights. Chris Carson, a London native, and his wife Amanda opened The British Shoppe in historic downtown Smyrna, offering a variety of imported foods, gifts, and collectibles, many of which are vegan, sugar-free, and gluten-free.
The shop’s opening day was met with overwhelming community support, with hundreds turning out for free tastings and live music. Located at 122 Front Street, the shop is open Monday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Those interested can find more information on Facebook and Instagram.
Nessie’s British Delights, a food truck and take-out spot, also offers British favorites like fish and chips, Highland Scotch Eggs, and various sandwiches. Customers have praised the food truck’s offerings, particularly its world-class desserts like Lemon Curd Tarts and Sticky Toffee Pudding.
With take-out available on Mondays at 5368 Seminary Road and at Gold’s Gym on Tuesdays, as well as delivery for a $10 fee, Nessie’s British Delights has quickly become a popular choice for British cuisine in Smyrna. For more information and to place orders, customers can call or text 615-879-8054.
Foodies in Smyrna now have an authentic taste of Britain right at their doorstep, thanks to these two establishments dedicated to bringing a piece of British culture to Tennessee.
