East Tennessee State University (ETSU) is currently competing in the Blue Ridge Outdoors’ Top Adventure College Tournament, aiming for the title of the “Top Adventure College in the Southeast”. ETSU offers a variety of outdoor and environmental programs, clubs, and curricula, as well as local opportunities for adventure.
With a diverse outdoor recreation area surrounding the campus, ETSU provides students with opportunities for activities such as climbing, an aerial adventure course, disc golf, tennis, and more. The university also offers education opportunities through skills clinics and provides gear for students to embark on their own adventures in state and national parks nearby.
Eric Brown, Assistant Director of Campus Recreation at ETSU, expressed the university’s commitment to taking full advantage of the outdoor opportunities in the area. The release mentioned that ETSU is now among the eight teams left in the tournament, with two more rounds to go before the championship.
To support ETSU’s bid for the Top Adventure College title, individuals can vote for the university in the ongoing tournament. This recognition would highlight ETSU’s dedication to outdoor education and adventure, showcasing the university as a top destination for students looking to combine academics with outdoor experiences.
