Ukraine gains bipartisan support in the US and launches long-range strikes against Russia | Latest updates on Russia-Ukraine conflict

In a significant decision, the US Congress has approved a $60.8 billion military aid package for Ukraine after months of delays and debates. This package includes Army Tactical Missile Systems with a range of 300km, marking a significant upgrade for Ukraine’s military capabilities. The aid comes as Ukraine struggles to defend itself against Russian attacks, with special operations successfully destroying Russian air defenses, a long-range bomber, a unique ship, and oil refineries.

The bipartisan support for the aid package, with 101 Republicans joining Democrats in the House vote, highlights the unified stance against Russian aggression. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed gratitude for the aid, which will strengthen the country’s anti-aircraft, long-range, and artillery capabilities.

Russian reactions to the aid package ranged from cynical to vitriolic, with Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov criticizing the move as an attempt to provoke further hostilities in Ukraine. Despite this opposition, Ukraine has successfully targeted Russian military infrastructure, including the destruction of S-400 air defense missile launchers and military vessels.

Ukraine’s military achievements, including the successful downing of a Russian long-range bomber and X-22 missiles, demonstrate a growing ability to defend against Russian attacks. These developments signal a renewed sense of hope for Ukraine as it continues to resist Russian aggression with the support of the international community.
