Stormy Daniels exchanges heated words with Trump’s lawyer in hush money trial testimony

During Donald Trump’s criminal trial, adult film star Stormy Daniels returned to the stand Thursday, where she faced intense cross-examination from Trump’s defense attorney Susan Necheles. Necheles attempted to discredit Daniels by questioning her $130,000 nondisclosure agreement and poking holes in her statements about her alleged sexual encounter with Trump. Despite Necheles’ efforts, Daniels stood her ground, asserting that the encounter was real and not a fabricated story like the ones she has directed in her adult films.

The cross-examination further delved into minor inconsistencies in Daniels’ stories and past statements, including her denial of asking Trump for money and her involvement in a strip club tour named “Make America Horny Again.” Necheles also tried to paint Daniels as unstable due to her alleged belief in the paranormal and her response to social media attacks.

After her testimony, Daniels’ lawyer stated that she was shaken by the ordeal but relieved to be done. Trump, who was in court during Daniels’ testimony, appeared visibly upset at points and was warned by the judge not to display contemptuous behavior.

The trial also saw the testimony of Madeleine Westerhout, a former White House assistant, who revealed conversations at the Republican National Committee about potentially replacing Trump as the nominee following the release of the “Access Hollywood” tape.

Overall, the trial continued to shed light on the controversial relationship between Trump and Daniels, as well as the legal implications of the hush money agreement and its reimbursement. As the proceedings continue, the case against Trump remains focused on the charges of falsifying business records related to the repayment, to which he has pleaded not guilty.
