Hamas claims that British-Israeli hostage Nadav Popplewell has died after being wounded in an Israeli airstrike. The group released a video showing him alive, but later stated he had died due to lack of medical care. Hamas has released multiple videos of hostages in recent weeks, with some hostages claiming that many others have been killed in Gaza. The initial attack by Hamas resulted in the deaths of more than 1,170 Israelis and foreigners, prompting a retaliatory military campaign by Israel that has resulted in thousands of deaths.
