From CHS to Toronto: Wes Parsons talks about his journey from Wildcats to Blue Jays | PODCAST

Clarksville native, Wes Parsons, is making waves in the world of baseball as he lands a spot on the Toronto Blue Jays roster. Parsons, a former player at Clarksville High School, recently sat down with Charlie Koon on Clarksville Conversations to discuss his journey to the MLB.

Parsons’ passion for baseball began at a young age, and he quickly rose through the ranks at Clarksville High School. His talent and dedication to the sport caught the attention of scouts, leading him to sign with the Atlanta Braves in 2012. From there, Parsons worked his way through the minor league system before making his MLB debut in 2018.

After stints with the Braves and the Colorado Rockies, Parsons found himself on the roster for the Blue Jays in 2021. Despite facing challenges and setbacks along the way, he remained resilient and focused on achieving his dream of playing in the big leagues.

During the interview with Koon, Parsons reflected on his time in Clarksville and the impact it had on his career. He credits his coaches, teammates, and the supportive community for helping him develop as a player and person.

As he continues his journey with the Blue Jays, Parsons hopes to inspire young athletes in Clarksville and beyond to pursue their passions and never give up on their dreams. With hard work and determination, anything is possible in the world of baseball and beyond.
