Keith Maddin, a native Nashvillian and mom of three, found herself newly divorced six years ago and in need of a way to make money. This led her down a path of renovating homes and managing properties, ultimately resulting in the creation of her own business, BK Management. Last year, she had the opportunity to expand her business further by becoming the owner of Firefly Forts, Nashville.
With blueprints for three different tree fort designs, Firefly Forts allows for customization and creativity, making each fort unique. Maddin was drawn to tree forts as a way for people to connect with nature and enjoy outdoor living spaces, especially during the pandemic.
Maddin’s journey to owning Firefly Forts has been described as serendipitous, with each step falling into place effortlessly. Through her own experiences with cancer and the support of her sisters, friends, and church community, she has learned the importance of saying “yes” and “thank you” to accepting help and support.
Despite the challenges she has faced, Maddin remains grateful for her health, job, and the opportunity to do what she loves. She encourages others to embrace fresh starts and be open to new opportunities, as they may lead to unexpected and fulfilling outcomes.
