At the end of the day, there is a special magic at Walt Disney World as the parks begin to close. While it may seem like guests have Toy Story Land or Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge all to themselves, the parks are never truly empty as cast members work 24/7 to ensure everything runs smoothly even after guests leave. The closing process involves guests leaving the park in a pattern, with some shopping for souvenirs or taking advantage of one last ride. If guests are in line when the park closes, they are allowed to finish the ride before leaving. Disney resorts and hotels offer accommodations to guests within the Disney bubble, but not inside the parks for safety reasons. The process of clearing the park involves ensuring that all guests leave the various attractions, restaurants, and shows before closing. Cast members are stationed throughout the park to ensure guests find their way to the exit. Disney also utilizes the time after hours to conduct deep cleaning, maintenance, restocking, and other tasks that require no guests present. The last guests to leave may receive special farewells from cast members, adding an extra touch of magic to their visit. Disney encourages guests to check park hours in advance and stay tuned for any special events that may result in earlier closings.
