Lindsey Nelson Stadium will be the site of an NCAA Tournament regional hosted by Tennessee baseball

The University of Tennessee baseball team has been selected as one of the 16 NCAA Tournament regional hosts, marking the third time in the past four seasons that they have hosted a regional. The Vols are expected to be the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament, with the bracket and pairings set to be released on ESPN2 at noon ET on Monday.

Regionals are scheduled to take place from May 31 to June 3, with Super regionals following on June 7-9 or June 8-10. The College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska, is set to begin on June 14.

Tennessee’s recent success as a regional host includes winning the regional in 2021 as the No. 3 national seed, and again in 2022 as the No. 1 national seed. In 2022, the Vols advanced to the College World Series for the first time since 2005.

The Vols earned the No. 1 national seed with an impressive record of 49 wins, making them the nation’s winningest team. They also won a share of the SEC regular-season title and had a deep run in the SEC Tournament.
