Severe weather caused at least 22 deaths in four states over the holiday weekend, with devastating storms reaching the mid-Atlantic and Northeast on Monday. A Colorado rancher and 34 of his cattle were killed by a lightning strike over the weekend. Tornado warnings and severe thunderstorm watches have been issued in various states, with the storm expected to move east on Memorial Day. Parts of Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia, and North Carolina were under tornado warnings, while New York City experienced delays in air travel due to severe weather.
