Senator John Fetterman and his wife Giselle were hospitalized after being involved in a two-car crash in Maryland on Sunday. Fetterman was driving a Chevrolet Traverse and rear-ended a Chevrolet Impala on Interstate-70 in Hancock. The driver of the Impala was also taken to a hospital in West Virginia. No citations were issued, and an investigation is ongoing.
A spokesperson for the senator stated that the Fettermans were taken to the hospital as a precaution, and John was treated for a bruised shoulder. Giselle’s injuries were not disclosed. The couple was discharged from the hospital on Sunday afternoon and are reportedly doing well.
Fetterman later posted a video on social media showing that he and his wife were back at their home in Braddock, Pennsylvania. The senator did not provide any additional details about the crash or their injuries. It is unclear what caused the accident or if any charges will be filed as a result of the incident.
