Tragedy struck in Martin, Tennessee on Tuesday morning as a crop duster plane crashed in a wooded area, resulting in the death of the pilot. The Weakley County Emergency Management Agency responded to the scene on Vancleave Road around 8:30 a.m. The pilot, who was from Obion County, Tennessee, did not survive the crash.
The identity of the deceased pilot has not been released. Ray Wiggington, the EMA Director, confirmed that the plane involved in the crash was a crop duster. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is currently investigating the incident.
