Honoring Distinguished Community Members with Outstanding Facilities in Sevier County, TN

The Sevier County government facilities are getting new names to honor distinguished individuals who have made significant contributions to the community. The new names are as follows: Rex Henry Ogle Courts Building, Gary Wade Courtroom, Helen Loveday Courtroom, Connie Holt General Sessions Clerks Office, and Larry Waters County Government Complex. Sevier County Mayor Larry Waters expressed his gratitude for the honor and pledged to continue serving the community to the best of his ability. Sevier County officials will work on determining the appropriate design and placement of the new name indications on the buildings.

Judge Rex Henry Ogle stated that being honored in this way is the greatest honor of his life. Andrew Holt, son of late Connie Holt, also shared his appreciation for the recognition of his mother’s contribution to the community. Dedication ceremony dates and corresponding resolutions will be announced at a later time.

The renaming of the government facilities comes after a special-called meeting by the board of commissioners earlier in the week. This news comes as Sevier County officials work to pay tribute to individuals who have had a meaningful impact on the community. The community looks forward to celebrating the new names and honoring the individuals they represent.
