DJ Diplo, whose real name is Thomas Wesley Pentz, is facing accusations of distributing revenge porn. The Los Angeles city attorney’s office is reviewing a case where a woman named Shelly Auguste filed a police report accusing the musician of distributing nude photos of her without consent. Pentz’s attorney denies the accusations, citing a history of ongoing harassment and disputes between Auguste and Pentz.
In a separate lawsuit filed by a woman identified as Jane Doe in California, it is claimed that Pentz distributed videos and images of their sexual encounters without her consent. The woman alleges that their relationship began in 2016 via Snapchat and continued for several years until October 2023 when she was informed by a third party that Pentz had shared explicit content of them with others. A warrant for Pentz’s arrest has been issued in New York City in connection with these allegations.
Pentz has been involved in legal battles with Auguste in the past, with restraining orders and monetary damages awarded to Pentz as a result of harassment claims made by Auguste. Auguste has spoken out about the need to end the abuse in the music industry and hopes for justice in the ongoing legal proceedings. The civil trial related to these allegations is set to begin in January 2025. Diplo’s team has been reached out to for comment on the recent lawsuit filed by Jane Doe.
