Eastside Bowl, located in East Nashville and Madison, has successfully transformed the former Kmart space into a vibrant venue with a 16-lane bowling alley, a bar, and a stage called the Low Volume Lounge. The main venue can accommodate over 600 people and has hosted some memorable shows, including Jason Isbell and The Protomen. The establishment recently repurposed one of its rooms into The ’58, a music venue with a capacity of 225, aiming to fill a gap in the rock scene east of the Cumberland River. The name comes from the venue’s color scheme inspired by the 1958 Les Paul Goldtop. While the sit-down restaurant has closed, the kitchen remains open for bar patrons and bowlers. Shows at The ’58 include Breaking Sound and Hub’s Birthday Bash. The venue is smaller than The Basement East but larger than other local spots like Drkmttr and The Underdog. The ’58 provides a cozy space for live music events. The establishment has been active since COVID lockdowns were lifted, offering a variety of entertainment options for music lovers in the area. Guests can check out the calendar at Eastside Bowl to see upcoming events at The ’58 and other areas of the venue. Overall, Eastside Bowl continues to be a popular destination for entertainment in the East Nashville community.
