Harris engages with undecided Latino voters in expansive Univision town hall • Tennessee Lookout

Vice President Kamala Harris was at a town hall in Las Vegas hosted by Univision, where she spoke with undecided Latino voters on a range of issues such as immigration, health care, abortion, and the economy. Harris emphasized the importance of fixing the “broken” immigration system and expressed her sympathy for those impacted.

She also touched on her plans for health care reform, reproductive rights, and an economic plan that includes tax relief for new parents, down payment assistance for first-time homebuyers, and tax breaks for small businesses. Harris also reiterated her commitment to Dreamers and vowed to fight for their pathway to citizenship.

Meanwhile, former President Donald Trump’s town hall with Univision was postponed due to Hurricane Milton. Trump has been vocal about his plan for immigration enforcement, including carrying out the “largest deportation in the history of our country” if elected. Trump is set to hold rallies in Aurora, Colorado, Reno, Nevada, Coachella, California, and Prescott Valley, Arizona over the weekend.

Harris continues to court the Latino voting bloc as the election approaches, launching the “Hombres con Harris” initiative to mobilize Latino men in battleground states. She also addressed a range of other topics at the town hall, highlighting her policy proposals and plans for the future. The event provided a platform for Latino voters to engage directly with the Vice President and hear her responses to their pressing concerns.
