Dolly Parton and Tennessee Tourism Launch Kid-Friendly Playcation Guide

Nashville, TN – In a unique collaboration, Dolly Parton, affectionately known as Dollywood’s "Dreamer in Chief," has partnered with Tennessee Tourism to launch the Tennessee Playcation Kid’s Guide, encouraging children and families to design their ideal vacation in the Volunteer State.

Available for pre-order at DollyPlaycation.com, this interactive 90-plus page guide is packed with creative activities and highlights over 45 family-friendly destinations across Tennessee, including Dollywood, the Memphis Zoo, the Tennessee Aquarium, and the Grand Ole Opry. Families can engage together in planning their adventures, making the travel experience more collaborative and exciting, especially for younger travelers who often have significant input in family trip decisions.

Adding an element of surprise, ten Butterfly Tickets will be hidden randomly within the mailed guides, offering a VIP experience at Dollywood’s 2025 season opening, commemorating the park’s 40th anniversary. Winners will receive a two-night stay for four at one of Dollywood’s luxury resorts, season passes, a signed Dolly-themed guitar, and an activity pass for local attractions.

“I love making dreams come true, and this is a chance for families to dream big,” said Parton, expressing her excitement about the initiative to create lasting family memories. The guides will begin delivery on November 25, and families can also submit original artwork for a chance to feature on a Tennessee-sponsored billboard.

The Tennessee Playcation campaign, which began earlier in 2023, aims to inspire families to explore the rich variety of experiences Tennessee has to offer. For more travel inspiration, visit TNvacation.com and follow @TNvacation on social media with the hashtag #TNSoundsPerfect.
