HGTV star Josh Hall is attempting to prevent his estranged wife, Christina Hall, from selling the Tennessee farmhouse that he has been living in since their split. Christina had previously agreed that Josh could continue living in the house as long as it was not being rented out. She listed the house for sale on October 4th for $4.5 million but Josh is now seeking to block or delay the sale.
In his court filing, Josh claims an “appreciation interest” in the property due to mortgage payments made during their marriage. Christina argued that she properly notified Josh about the listing, and claimed that he only uses the house as a “vacation property.” She also referenced an alleged $35,000 in rental income that Josh transferred to his personal account, which he claimed was for property expenses.
The couple began dating in 2021, publicly confirmed their relationship in July, and secretly wed in October of the same year. Josh filed for divorce in July 2024, citing irreconcilable differences and requesting spousal support, while Christina requested that no financial support be awarded to either party.
These legal disputes and allegations have created tension between the two, with Christina posting on Instagram about the situation. A representative for Josh denied the accusations made by Christina, stating that he has not stolen any money from her. As the drama continues to unfold, it remains to be seen how the court will ultimately decide on the future of the Tennessee farmhouse and the couple’s financial arrangements.
