Tennessee Titans break 1,000-day streak with Week 4 victory against Dolphins

After over 1,000 days without scoring 30 points in a game, the Tennessee Titans finally achieved that milestone in a 31-12 victory over the Miami Dolphins on Monday night. Head coach Brian Callahan secured his first win with the team, and it was a much-needed one for the Titans.

The last time the Titans scored 30 points or more was in Week 17 of the 2021 season, where they also faced the Dolphins. It has been 1,002 days since that game, making this recent victory a long-awaited accomplishment for the team.

While kicker Nick Folk contributed 15 points with his leg, the Titans didn’t score their first touchdown until the third quarter. Tony Pollard added another touchdown, thanks to a penalty by Miami. Quarterback Will Levis was injured in the first half, leaving Mason Rudolph to close out the game.

Despite Rudolph’s limited passing yards, he helped secure the win, as Levis struggled with turnovers before exiting the game. Callahan confirmed that Levis will continue to start for the Titans, pending his recovery from the shoulder injury.

The Titans will enjoy a bye week in Week 5 before preparing for a divisional matchup against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 6. With this important win under their belt, the Titans are looking to build momentum and continue their success in the upcoming games.
