The Farragut West Knox Chamber recently hosted a networking event at Pinnacle Financial Partners in Farragut, bringing together local businesses and community members. Among those in attendance were representatives from State Farm Insurance, That 1 Painter, JB&B Capital, and Pinnacle Financial, as well as guests. The event aimed to promote business connections and collaboration within the community.
In other news, two new restaurants are set to open in the West Town area of Knoxville. Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers and Jim ‘N Nick’s Community Bar-B-Q will be joining the dining options near West Town Mall on Kingston Pike. Raising Cane’s is scheduled to open in January 2025, while Jim ‘N Nick’s is expected to be completed in the first quarter of the same year. These new additions will add to the already diverse dining choices in the area, including Walk-On’s Bistreaux & Bar and Firebirds Wood Fired Grill.
Additionally, author P. Smith will be hosting book signings for her upcoming book, Chronicles and Narratives: Tales from Strawberry Plains & Gay Street, at various locations in Carter and downtown Knoxville. The book signings will take place on December 6 and December 7 at Earth to Old City, Stormer’s Hardware in the Carter community, and Mast General Store on Gay Street. This presents an opportunity for readers to meet the author and purchase a copy of her book.
