Tennessee Basketball Continues Undefeated Streak with Dominant Win Over Syracuse

Tennessee basketball proved once again that they are one of the top teams in the country with a dominant 96-70 victory over Syracuse. The No. 3 Vols improved to 9-0 for the first time since 2001, led by Chaz Lanier’s 26 points. Zakai Zeigler added 14 points and eight assists, while Cade Phillips contributed 12 points off the bench.

From the start, the Vols controlled the game, taking an early lead and never looking back. Lanier and Zeigler led the way with impressive scoring runs, while Jordan Gainey stepped up in the second half with 12 points in just 11 minutes.

Despite a slow start from beyond the arc, the Vols found success inside and in transition to build a comfortable halftime lead. They continued their strong performance in the second half, with Igor Millicic Jr. hitting a 3-pointer to kick off the scoring surge.

By the time Lanier hit back-to-back treys to push the lead to 84-53, the game was well in hand for Tennessee. Their impressive offensive display and solid defense allowed them to coast to a decisive win over Syracuse.
