Dave Grohl performs Foo Fighters songs live for the first time since personal scandal.

Rock legend Dave Grohl made a triumphant return to the stage at Coachella over the weekend, performing orchestral renditions of Foo Fighters hits “Everlong” and “The Sky Is a Neighborhood” with the Los Angeles Philharmonic and conductor Gustavo Dudamel. This marked Grohl’s first appearance as frontman of Foo Fighters since confirming the identity of the mother of his new daughter, Jennifer Young.

Grohl, who also recently performed at FireAid and “SNL50: The Homecoming Concert,” had not played any Foo Fighters songs live since the announcement of his daughter’s birth. His surprise appearance at Coachella was met with excitement and applause from fans.

Young, who resides in Los Angeles, confirmed to the media in February that she is the mother of Grohl’s love child and is raising the child with her own mother. Despite the scandal, Grohl remains committed to being a supportive parent and rebuilding trust with his wife and children.

Other guest performers at the Coachella weekend included Cynthia Erivo, who sang a ballad from her upcoming album and a cover of Prince’s “Purple Rain,” as well as Natasha Bedingfield and Argentine duo Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso.

The star-studded festival came to a close with surprise appearances by Ed Sheeran and Jelly Roll joining headliner Post Malone. Grohl’s return to the stage marked a triumphant comeback for the beloved rocker and left fans eagerly anticipating what’s next for the legendary musician.
