Tragic Drowning Incident Claims Life of Young Man in Tennessee
Monterey, TN – In a heartbreaking incident on Sunday, a 21-year-old man named Austin Sigh drowned while assisting with a boat loading operation. According to the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA), Sigh was helping to load a 16-foot cabin cruiser onto a trailer when environmental conditions contributed to the tragedy at approximately 4:00 PM.
The TWRA reported that the water temperature at the time was 66 degrees Fahrenheit, which may have played a role in the unfortunate event. Sigh’s body was located in less than 10 feet of water shortly after the incident and was promptly retrieved by the agency. Following the recovery, his remains were transported to the Meigs County Coroner’s Office for further examination.
