Support for ‘Operation Sindoor’ Unites Tamil Nadu Leaders
Chennai, May 7, 2025 — Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin publicly endorsed ‘Operation Sindoor,’ launched by the Indian Armed Forces to target terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir. In a post on platform X, Stalin expressed, “Tamil Nadu stands with the Indian Army against terrorism. With our Army, for our nation.” His statement cemented the state’s commitment to national security.
Union Minister L. Murugan, along with BJP Tamil Nadu president Nainar Nagenthran and former party chief K. Annamalai, also backed the operation. Annamalai emphasized that terrorists received a response "in the language that they best understand," declaring his support for the armed forces with a “Jai Hind!”
Tamil Nadu Governor R.N. Ravi, noted for his cinematic background, lauded the operation, posting a patriotic message on X that affirmed, “Just the beginning!” Key regional political figures—including AIADMK’s Edappadi K. Palaniswami and AMMK’s T.T.V. Dhinakaran—applauded the Union government’s decisive action against terrorism. Palaniswami remarked that the operation showcased India’s resolve against terrorism, while Dhinakaran encouraged citizens to rally behind their government’s military initiatives.
Actor Rajinikanth reinforced this sentiment by urging unity and support for the Indian forces, stating on X, “The fighter’s fight begins… No stopping until the mission is accomplished! The entire NATION is with you.”
In a collective display of solidarity, Tamil Maanila Congress president G.K. Vasan called for unity in support of the Centre’s military actions that ensure public security, while Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam president Vijay offered a “royal salute” to the Indian Army.
As the operation unfolds, Tamil Nadu’s diverse political and social leaders stand united, demonstrating a collective stance against terrorism and in favor of national integrity.
