Authorities in Nashville are continuing their search for a missing college student who disappeared on the night of March 8. Riley Strain, a 22-year-old student from Missouri, was last seen in downtown Nashville. New clues have emerged, including the discovery of his debit card on an embankment near the Cumberland River. Body camera footage released by the police shows Strain briefly interacting with an officer that night.
Police have been searching the area near the riverbank, where the bank card was found, for over a week. The video footage confirms that Strain was in the area that night. Authorities have not found any evidence of foul play in his disappearance. Strain’s parents have traveled to Nashville to assist in the search efforts.
Strain, a senior at Mizzou, traveled to Nashville with his fraternity brothers for the weekend. They were at Luke’s 32 Bridge, a bar owned by Luke Bryan, before Strain went missing. The bar’s management company stated that Strain had only purchased one alcoholic drink before being escorted out by security. Security camera footage shows Strain wearing denim pants and a brown button-up shirt on the night he disappeared.
Despite efforts to locate Strain using Snapchat’s location feature, his whereabouts remain unknown. Police are still investigating his cell phone records for more information. Strain is described as 6 feet 5 inches tall, with blue eyes and light brown hair. The community has come together to aid in the search for the missing student.
