Country music singer Morgan Wallen, 30, was arrested in Nashville on felony charges after allegedly throwing a chair from a rooftop for no legitimate purpose. Police found Wallen threw a chair from a six-story building owned by Eric Church. He was booked on three counts of reckless endangerment and one count of disorderly conduct. Witnesses reported Wallen laughing after throwing the chair, posing a danger to the public. He was released on $15,250 bond and is set for a court hearing next month.
This incident is not the first time Wallen has faced backlash for his actions in public. In February 2021, he apologized for a video where he used a racial slur in Nashville. The incident led to widespread criticism from the music industry. Wallen has since expressed regret and acknowledged letting down those important to him.
Despite these controversies, Wallen continues to have success in his music career. His most recent album, “One Thing at a Time,” peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, featuring the Hot 100 No. 1 hit “Last Night.” Additionally, he announced plans to open a six-story bar along Lower Broadway called “This Bar” in 2024, inspired by his song “This Bar.”
Wallen’s lawyer confirmed his cooperation with authorities following the recent arrest. His fans and the music industry continue to follow his career with interest, as he navigates challenges and strives to move forward from past controversies.
