Davie County Sheriff’s Office in North Carolina responded to a shooting incident on Pineville Road where a woman, Jade Marie Sales, was found dead from multiple gunshot wounds. The suspect, Dennis Jerome Sales, had fled the scene and was apprehended in Kingsport, Tennessee. An 18-year-old girl called 911 when she witnessed the shooting and was found hiding with a 1-month-old baby at the home. Additional children who lived in the house were at school during the incident and were placed under the care of the Department of Social Services. Sales has been charged with murder and it is unclear when he will be extradited to Davie County.
