BATON ROUGE, La. – A tragic plane crash in Tennessee claimed the lives of three people, including a prominent Baton Rouge plastic surgeon, Dr. Lucius Doucet III. The small plane was en route from Baton Rouge to Louisville, Kentucky when it crashed just south of Nashville. The identity of the other two victims remains unknown at this time. Authorities believe the plane broke apart while in the air, resulting in a debris field over a mile long. The crash was reported to the Williamson County Emergency Management Agency by a witness who heard a sound and saw debris. The Federal Aviation Administration has identified the plane as a single-engine Beechcraft V35, and investigations by the FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board are ongoing.
