Due to impending inclement weather, the Tennessee baseball team’s College World Series game against Florida State has been rescheduled to start later at 3 p.m. ET on ESPN. Originally scheduled for 2 p.m., the delay is a result of the postponement of the Florida vs. Kentucky game from Tuesday night to Wednesday morning. The Vols will face Florida State in hopes of advancing to the championship series if they secure a win.
Tennessee, having opened the College World Series with a 2-0 record for the first time in program history, defeated Florida State 12-11 on Friday and then North Carolina 6-1 on Sunday. If they win on Wednesday, they will move on to the best-of-three championship series. Florida State, on the other hand, remains in the bracket after beating Virginia 7-3 and North Carolina 9-5 in previous matchups.
In other news, Hunter Ensley of the Tennessee baseball team is currently listed as day-to-day in the College World Series. Meanwhile, Texas A&M, who went 0-2 on the opposite side of the bracket, will face the winner of the Florida vs. Kentucky game at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
