After a seven-day search, the bodies of two Georgia firefighters were found deceased in Tennessee, authorities reported. The investigation into the deaths of Reagan Anderson and Chandler Kuhbander is ongoing by the Cocke County Sheriff’s Office and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. The bodies were discovered in Cosby, Tennessee, along with Anderson’s vehicle. The two were said to have been in a relationship that recently ended.
The events leading up to their disappearance date back to June 22, when a domestic disturbance occurred at an Olive Garden restaurant in Pooler, Georgia. Anderson confronted Kuhbander and later caused damage to his vehicle, resulting in her arrest and charges of property damage and disorderly conduct. After that, Kuhbander shared concerns with his mother regarding Anderson’s behavior and stated she had been continuously calling him. The next day, surveillance footage captured Anderson’s car in a Savannah mall lot around the time Kuhbander was seen at the gym.
Initially declared missing by the police in Hinesville, Georgia, the families last communicated with the victims on June 25 at 11:19 a.m., and they were last seen in Cosby that evening. Authorities have not revealed the cause or manner of death and are awaiting autopsy results from the Knoxville Forensics Center. Jane Kuhbander, Chandler’s mother, warned on Facebook of Anderson’s potential danger to herself and that Kuhbander may not be with her willingly. Hinesville police expressed condolences to both families in this difficult time.
