This Fourth of July, Nashville is set to have an explosive celebration with tens of thousands of fireworks and hundreds of drones lighting up the skyline. Last year’s event brought in an estimated 250,000 people and generated $11.6 million in visitor spending. This year, organizers are aiming for an innovative and revolutionary display.
For the first time ever, drones will be incorporated into the fireworks show, creating a unique and exciting experience for attendees. The drones will be synchronized with live music from the Nashville Symphony, adding an extra layer of entertainment to the event.
The Executive Vice President of Pyro Shows, Mike Walden, shared that the fireworks will paint the sky and river in red, white, and blue. With 1,000 floating flares in the river and fireworks reaching up to 1,000 feet high, the show promises to be iconic and impressive.
A team of experts has spent over 150 hours designing and coordinating the event to ensure that every explosion and drone movement is precise and perfectly timed. The highlight of the drone show will be the American flag image, flying high in the Nashville sky.
In addition to the festivities, the Nashville Convention and Visitors Corp. will be donating funds to a local charity during the event. T-shirts sold at the celebration will contribute $1 to Pencil, a foundation that provides school supplies for Metro Nashville students.
The fireworks and drone show will kick off at 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, with Lower Broadway, Ascend Amphitheater, and Riverfront Park being some of the best viewing locations for the spectacular display.
