Knoxville, Tennessee – It has been a year since the tragic death of 8-year-old Addy Rudd following a routine tonsillectomy. Her mother, Deanna Caudill, still struggles to come to terms with the loss of her daughter, who was a big fan of country singer Morgan Wallen. In honor of Addy, Caudill and her family will attend Wallen’s upcoming concert in Neyland Stadium.
Caudill recalls how she and Addy would often sing along to Morgan Wallen’s music together, creating fond memories that now bring mixed emotions. She is looking forward to the concert but knows it will be bittersweet without Addy by her side. Family members have taken to social media to share Addy’s story and love for Wallen in the hopes that he will acknowledge her at the concert.
“I honestly just want Morgan to know her name and know a little bit about her and know how much she loved him,” said Caudill. Despite the sadness of Addy’s absence, Caudill believes that her daughter will have the best seat in the house, watching over them as they enjoy the music they once shared.
The concert on September 22 will be a tribute to Addy’s memory, a celebration of her life, and a chance for the family to find closure in the healing power of music. Caudill hopes that Wallen will learn about Addy and understand the impact his music had on her young life. The community is invited to join Caudill and her family in honoring Addy at the concert.
