A Tennessee woman is facing charges after allegedly attempting to hire a hitman to kill the wife of a man she met on a dating website. Wendy Tucker, 41, was arrested after she reportedly contacted an undercover officer posing as a hitman and offered to pay $5,000 to have the woman killed. According to the indictment, Tucker requested that the murder “needs to seem random” and that she wanted it to be “clean, professional, no sloppy work.”
Tucker met the man on a dating website and allegedly became obsessed with him, leading her to seek out ways to get rid of his wife. The man reported Tucker to the police after she made multiple attempts to contact him and his wife and threatened to expose their relationship if he did not leave his wife for her. The man had previously ended the relationship with Tucker due to her behavior.
Tucker now faces charges of solicitation to commit first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder. She is currently being held on a $150,000 bond in the Rutherford County jail. Authorities have commended the man for coming forward and contacting them before any harm was done.
